Nestorian expansion
Christianity has a longer history in China and India than it does in parts of Europe.
If you ever visit the Terracotta Warriors you'll pass through the ancient city of Xi'an in central China. There you will find evidence dating back to of the presence of Nestorian missionaries in 781AD.
Here's a map of their spread. If only they had headed south instead of north to China they might have made it to Australia!
