Back to Amsterdam
Here we are in Amsterdam on the spot where we met in '79.
It's the first time we've been back in thirty-two years.
Amsterdam has changed. There are no more hippies. The prostitution and drug dealing has toned down, and is mostly out of sight.
We lived in the Ark— two houseboats moored behind the Central train station. They're gone now.
The Ark was one of a network of outreach and discipleship communities called Dilaram House. Dilaram Houses were set up by Floyd and Sally McClung along the hippie trail from London to Katmandu.
I traveled half way around the world to meet an Aussie girl in Amsterdam. Sure glad I did.
