Meeting George
I finally got to meet George Patterson and shake his hand. We were part of a panel discussion on church planting movements.
George is one of the early pioneers of rediscovering what it means for God's people to be a missionary movement.
He learnt the hard way, by trial and error, multiplying disciples and churches in impoverished Honduran villages through ordinary believers.
George's legacy is a reminder that the breakthroughs in the renewal and expansion of the Christian movement always occur on the fringe.
I've done a bootleg recording of the discussion. What I enjoyed most was seeing George's passion and spiritual authority. He's a leader who is finishing well.
You can listen to the Panel discussion via the Movements podcast or download the audio file.
UPDATE: unfortunately the link to the podcast has been broken and the file lost. I blame the CIA.
